Wet White Noise

about

Reverberation is a psychoacoustic phenomenon where a sound persists after it has been produced. This resulting sound is characterized by the reflections off of the existing environment. This effect can be created digitally with reverb plugins, allowing you simulate small or large environments with a few mouse clicks. When adding reverb effects you can mix the raw unaffected audio (known as the dry signal) with the pure reverb signal (known as the wet signal). What you are hearing here is White Noise with the dry signal turned completely down so that only the wet signal is audible. In other words, it's purely the reverberations that are being heard. The result is a more peaceful and ambient white noise that is more soothing on the ears. I personally find it more relaxing, and I would rather use this sound to focus or block out distractions than standard white noise.
