Moonlight Sonata Ambience

about

An ambience created using a public domain recording of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C♯ minor "Quasi una fantasia", Op. 27, No. 2, Mvt. 1, popularly known as the "Moonlight Sonata." It might be useful for relaxing, sleeping, or focusing, but it's an interesting listen regardless. Some may find it soothing, while others might find it a bit creepy!

The recording I used was very noisy, so I cleaned it up by using a denoiser, and a lowpass filter. Then I used a lot of spectral blurring/frequency holding and added some reverb to create an almost ghostlike ambience of the original music. The resulting ambience is definitely reminiscent of the original masterpiece, but it's definitely a new take on an old work.
